What is the difference between a scholarly journal article and a website?

I personally think that there are several different points of those two kinds of articles.

First of all, academic journals are writen by those professional authors. The articles are sellected academic-orientedly. They are used as the literature and databeses for the researchers. So the articles are more serious, more objective, and more rigorous. Comparing with other articles, a scholarly journal is more authoritative, although it always brings endless arguments. Some of the scholarly journals are very special, because the information they contain is different from mainstream. They are ground-breaking for the existing world. Against to the scholarly journals, the website articles are a kind of free thinking. The ideas of the writer are broader and more uninhibited. The writers maybe targeted at a certain point of view on a particular aspect, or they just use their articles for entertainment. And readers can also criticized the author's point of view. They can add their own opinions. Or even to discuss in order to achieve a deepen and more expansive perspective.

Secondly, audiences of subscribers directed by them are also different. The professional degree of the scholarly journals is comparatively high. Using plenty of terms installs definite obstacles for general readers. So the audiences of the scholarly journal are mainly the investigators of the cercain field. However, because of the popularity of the articles on the website, general readers are able to elaborate in succinct language except that some words must inevitablly use scholarly terms, making lots of amateurs can attend the discussion so that it has become widespread letters.

Finally, the materials which the two selected are also different. I have state in the first point, the material selection of academic journals is serious. It has certain limitations. This stems from the careful and cautious attitude of the researchers. However, articles on the website seem more open, diverse and inclusive.

In general,the scholarly journal takes it for granted that it should insist on the purposes of linking theory with practice, persisting in emancipating the mind, being practical and realistic, keeping up with the times, studying important practical questions, promoting theoretical innovation in the practice and digging abundantly deepness to the questions. The articles on the website should fully develop the widening on the scope and deepness. Only both cooperate together can procure the considerable growth theoretically and virtually.
